Richmond, Indiana, November 18, 1996 - SANYO-VERBATIM CD COMPANY announced today that all operations at the replicator's North American facility have been consolidated under the newly created position of Senior Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer. Named to this new position is Tom Ryan.

Effective immediately, Ryan assumes responsibility for all sales, administration and operational activities for the company. The replicator's manufacturing plant in Richmond, Indiana continues an ongoing expansion to its production capacity and total turnkey solution offerings, activities which are currently being headed up by Mr. Ryan.

Ryan has spent the past two years as Secretary on the SANYO-VERBATIM CD COMPANY's Board of Directors, while holding the concurrent titles of Senior Vice President of Business Development and Vice President of CD-ROM Sales. Before the joint partnership between Sanyo Laser Products and Verbatim Corporation was formed in 1995, Mr. Ryan spent a total of 6 years with Verbatim at their Charlotte, North Carolina headquarters as Director of Charlotte Operations. His responsibilities included 3.5" microdisk startup, 3.5" MO assembly startup, 5.25" manufacturing as well as the 3.5" packout line. Prior to these experiences he held various management positions with Verbatim at the company's Sunnyvale, California manufacturing facility for an additional 6 years and similar management positions with NCR Corporation and Mountain Computer Corporation.
